International Beverages wins National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2020 for first time
International Beverages Private Limited, a subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company, has recently been awarded the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2020 for the first time.
International Beverages Private Limited has been contributing to the economic development of the country in many ways since it commenced operations in Bangladesh.
In recognition of its contribution, this company has recently been conferred the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2020 in food sub-category under large industry.
The National Productivity Organisation (NPO), which was formed in 1989, is an association under the industries ministry.
Every year, the NPO gives out the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award to the most deserving organisations and companies that contribute to the economy through creating employment opportunities and promoting technological innovations.
This year, a total of 26 companies in 5 different categories have been awarded with the National Productivity and Quality Excellence Award 2020. An award-giving ceremony was held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka on May 29.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun handed over the award to the recipients.
State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder and FBCCI's Senior Vice Presidnet Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu attended the event as the chief guest.
Mohsinul Haque, director of human resources from International Beverages Private Ltd, received the award on behalf of International Beverages Private Limited.
"As a 100 per cent foreign direct investment, we have been investing in Bangladesh and creating multi-faceted economic inclusion through sustainable practices, job opportunities & youth skill development," said Tapas Kumar Mondal, managing director of the International Beverages Private Ltd.
"We are delighted that our contribution has been recognised and it will encourage us to do more for the society and the country in a greater sense."
