Express Insurance makes higher profit in first quarter
Express Insurance Limited's earnings per share (EPS) rose to Tk 0.65 in the January-March quarter against Tk 0.48 in the same period last year.
The Net Operating Cash Flows Per Share (NOCFPS), a measure of a firm's financial strength, was Tk 1.39 for the first quarter compared to Tk 0.52 in the same period last year, according to the company's unaudited financial statement.
The net asset value (NAV), which shows a company's total assets minus its total liabilities, was Tk 17.74 per share as on March 31 and Tk 17.09 as on December 31.
The board of the company has recommended a 10 per cent cash dividend for the year that ended on December 31, said Express Insurance in a filing on the Dhaka Stock Exchange today.
It reported an EPS of Tk 1.85 for 2021 against Tk 1.64 a year ago.
