Stocks registered gains in the first hour of trading today, rising for the second consecutive day. 

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 30.01 points or 0.58 percent to 5,204.29 as of 11:04 am. 

Investor participation was largely positive as around 269 issues advanced, 55 declined, and 55 remained unchanged. 

Total turnover stood at Tk 182.08 crore. 

Shares of Al-Haj Textile Mills surged the highest 9 percent, while shares of Renwick Jajneswar & Co dropped 4 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.29 percent, gaining 42.49 points to 14,518.24.
