Dhaka stocks edging up since morning

Stocks rose in today's first hour of trading, edging up for the second consecutive day after recovering from the previous week's losses.
The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 28.95 points or 0.56 percent to 5,174.03 as of 11:14 am.
Around 263 issues advanced, 61 declined, and 60 remained unchanged.
Total turnover stood at Tk 147.19 crore.
Shares of Summit Alliance Port surged the highest of 9 percent, while shares of Northern Islami Insurance dropped 4 percent.
CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.32 percent, gaining 46.62 points to 14,411.02.
