BFIU seeks account details of Tulip Siddiq, family members
The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has sought bank account details of Tulip Siddiq, UK city minister and niece of former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina, and her family members.
The anti-money laundering agency has also sought details of the accounts Azmina Siddique, sister of Tulip Siddiq, her brother Radwan Mujib Siddiq and mother Sheikh Rehana.
Earlier, the BFIU had sought bank account information of Hasina, Hasina's son Sajeeb Wazed and daughter Saima Wazed.
Banks have been instructed to submit all relevant information, including transaction records, account opening forms and other related information.
Tulip Siddiq has recently came to the headlines of international media outlets following her involvement in a scandal tied to the ousted Awami League government.
