BFIU seeks account details of Tritiyo Matra presenter Zillur Rahman
The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) today asked banks to provide account related information of Zillur Rahman, presenter of "Tritiyo Matra", a popular television talk-show aired on Channel i.
The BFIU also directed banks to provide account details of the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS), where Zillur is executive director.
As such, the anti-money laundering agency sent the banks a letter, asking for details on Zillur's and CGS's bank accounts, transactions through cards, their deposits and withdrawals within five working days.
Rahman is founder, director and host of the widely popular daily television talk show, which was launched in July 2003.
