Budget won’t protect poor: CPB

Communist Party of Bangladesh in an instant reaction has rejected the proposed national budget for FY 2017-18 and said it will not protect the poor people’s interest.

“The proposed budget is the best budget to kill poor people,” CPB President Mujahidul Islam Selim and its General Secretary Md Shah Alam said in a press statement.

They came up with the reaction this afternoon, immediately after Finance Minister AMA Muhith placed the country’s national budget for the fiscal 2017-18 at the parliament.

The proposed budget will uphold the interest of rich and corrupts, they said.
