TIN must for buying savings certificate over Tk 2 lakh

To buy savings certificate over Tk 2 lakh, an investor will have to submit tax identification number (TIN).

The finance minister proposed to submit TIN in some other cases too in order to expand the tax net of the country.

To open postal savings deposit of over Tk 2 lakh, to get approval of house design, and get registration of cooperatives, people will have to submit their TIN.
