E-Judiciary project proposed for reducing time and costs
Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today proposed the implementation of an E-Judiciary project to reduce time and costs for litigants in the country.
"The litigants will be benefitted if the project is implemented," he said during the budget session today.
According to the E-Judiciary project, the subordinate courts in the country will be brought under the ICT (Information and Communications Technology) network.
Each court will be transformed into an E-Courtroom under the project, he said.
The finance minister said case management will become more efficient since different offices attached to judicial proceedings such as thanas, hospitals and jails, and the people concerned -- investigators, witnesses, lawyers and accused persons -- will be connected under a central network.
