Suborna and Afzal as writer and muse

Arguably two of the most popular actors in the small screen industry, Afzal Hossain and Suborna Mustafa is everyone's favourite on-screen pairing. Known to be picky with their scripts, the actors are now slated to appear in the Badrul Anam Saud scripted and helmed “Okkhor Theke Uthe Asha Manush”, for which filming took place over the course of two days from February 26-27.

Regarding the plot, director Badrul Anam Saud stated, “Suborna Mustafa is cast in the role of an author, and Afzal bhai is a character she conjures up for one of her stories. The idea of the story is that the writer's ideas, and any changes she desires to create within her character has a direct impact on Afzal's role. However, things take a stranger turn when she discovers she has no such power over her character anymore, and thus a complex, emotional connection begins.”

Actor Afzal Hossain reflected his enthusiasm in a statement, saying that he has an immense liking for Saud's scripts and ideas. “He always comes up with something different and new, and this play reflects an extremely unconventional relationship. Secondly, it honours me to understand how viewers find my work with Suborna so appealing. I hope everyone enjoys our new roles,” he said.

Suborna Mustafa also added, “Afzal and I have been working together for many years; from our roots in theatre to television. We have grown into our careers together, and like any siblings we have our differences and quarrels, but we forget everything when we're on the sets. I don't know how Saud has come up with such an innovative idea, but I am excited to see how it will turn out.”
