Spelling Bee playoffs begin tonight

With 32 episodes of The Daily Star Spelling Bee already aired, and four finalists of the season have been chosen: Sabir Hossain Sagor (Maple Leaf International School, Dhaka); Sakib Ahmed (Anandaniketan, Sylhet); Lamia Mahzabin (Feni Girls' Cadet College, Feni) and Parisa Islam (Mirpur Girls' Ideal Laboratory Institute, Dhaka).

The Spelling Bee play-off round starts tonight on Channel i at 7:50pm.This is a second chance for the participants to get back in the game. Two more spots are open in the finalists' line-up, and the next two episodes will reveal the last two finalists for this season.

The second and third highest scorers from each semifinal are getting another chance to grab the spot of finalist of this season. In each playoff, four contestants will compete for the finalist position.

The Grand Finale of this season will air on February 10 on Channel i at 7:50 pm.
