Shaon seeks help to establish cancer hospital

Actress-architect Meher Afroz Shaon, wife of the late Humayun Ahmed, has sought help from all parts of society to establish a cancer hospital.

While paying her respects to the wordsmith's grave at Nuhash Polli on his third death anniversary, Shaon said it was Humayun Ahmed's dream that she still holds, but added that she needs support, from the government as well as the important people in the society, to carry out such an elaborate project. 

Family members of Humayun Ahmed – including his brothers Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal and Ahsan Habib, his sons Nishad and Ninit, and countless fans paid their tributes to the writer at his niche in Nuhash Polli on July 19.
