Bangladeshi film school becomes member of Green Film School Alliance
Bangladeshi film school, International Academy of Film and Media has become a member of the Green Film School Alliance. The alliance addresses climate change and conservation challenges by creating a close network among film schools, television studios, and production houses and is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and accelerating the implementation of sustainable solutions.
This initiative protects nature with various rules and arrangements including banning plastic, less electricity use, repeated use of one thing, shooting in real locations, and use of solar electricity in all areas.
Sustainable Production Alliance (SPA) started in June 2020, comprising the world's leading film, television and streaming platforms – Amazon Studios, Amblin Partners, Disney, Fox Corporation, NBCUniversal, Netflix, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Viacom CBS, and Warner Media respectively.
The purpose of this consortium is to inspire students in the practice of sustainable filmmaking by providing exceptional teaching on green filming or sustainable film production in addition to basic studies in film educational institutions of the developed world.
The International Academy of Film and Media has been committed to providing world-class quality film education since 2006. Apart from film education, IAFM is quite active in regular film-related activities and film production. IAFM – The first Bangladeshi film school to launch an original script-based project named script lab.
