Chanchal Khan to sing at IGCC

Marking the death anniversary of Tagore, Indira Gandhi Culture Centre (IGCC) is organising an evening of songs by Chanchal Khan. The event titled “Baishe Srabon: A tribute to Tagore” will be held at 6:30pm today at the IGCC, Gulshan-1 in the capital.
Dr. Chanchal Khan is an established Tagore artiste in Bangladesh. He has also directed several plays of Tagore, including “Shyama”, “Chitrangoda” and “Valmiki Pratibha”. He has just made a documentary titled “Rabindranath in Bangladesh” -- a historical visual analysis of Rabindranath's works during his stay in East Bengal between 1890 and
1937.
The programme is open to all.
