No dearth of Eid plays for Tisha

Tisha's flawless reputation makes her one of the most sought-after actors in Bangladesh's showbiz industry. The star's performances have earned plaudits on the small and big screen. Unlike many of her peers, she is known to appear in only a few drama serials, focusing her efforts in single episode plays, many of which are released during Eid. This year, the actor is raking in numerous projects for Eid that include two drama serials as well as numerous single episode plays.

Tisha will star in a new drama serial titled “Lojjaboti Lailake Niye Zulfikar'er Chomok”. Abu Hayat Mahmud has directed the seven-episode play, where Tisha will be seen playing the role of Laila, a bashful and aspiring theatre actress whose efforts are thwarted by stage fright, brought on by her shyness. Her inability to perform well leads her to be heckled and assaulted by an insensitive audience. Chanchal Chowdhury is cast alongside Tisha as Laila's acting mentor.

“The narrative is beautiful, one that resonates with me. I love playing my role,” said Tisha. The actor will also be cast in a six-episode series titled “Ultimatum”, directed by Masud Shezan. Regarding the narrative, the artiste stated it's a reflection of everyday life and its highs and lows.

The actor is also pairing up with musician and actor Jon Kabir in the play titled “Rainbow.”

Tisha has also ventured to the beachfront to film scenes for a play that is yet to be titled. In another play, she will be seen as a pop singer. “I am quite choosy when it comes to accepting roles. The story has to hold up well, and move me,” she said.

“Eid is a time when viewers flock to their TV sets to watch plays, so it is essential to give them something worth their time. I love to entertain, and do my best to deliver on that part,” declared the actor.
