“I prefer playing anti-heroes” - Anisur Rahman Milon
Tell us about some of your current film projects.
I am a part of the horror film titled Shopner Ghor, directed by Tanim Rahman Angshu. Mamo is my co-actor in the film. I am also working with Moushumi in Ratrer Jatri, which is expected to release in December.
How was your experience working with Moushumi?
Moushumi is one of the greatest actors in the industry. I have worked with her in a few television projects, but this is my first time working with her in a movie. She is passionate about her work even to this day, and is an amazing co-artiste.
What are your aspirations, in terms of the type of films you want to work on?
There is a widespread misconception that television actors do not fare well on the silver screen, but that is not true at all. My only aspiration is to do good films, and help the industry gain more international attention. In recent years, our films have released beyond Bangladesh as well, which is a matter of pride.
What type of characters are you drawn to?
I don't play into the popular hero trope; I prefer playing anti-heroes and have been lucky enough to have worked in excellent films. Dehorokkhi brought me into the limelight and gave me my identity as a film actor, as did the movies Onek Shadher Moina and Rajneeti.
