The Bangladesh Short Film Forum (BSFF) has organised a memorial event in honour of filmmaker, film activist, and educator Zahidur Rahim Anjan, who previously served as the organisation’s president.

National Film Award-winning filmmaker Zahidur Rahim Anjan, who passed away last Monday while undergoing treatment in Bangalore, India, will be laid to rest today beside his mother at Azimpur Graveyard. The 61-year-old had been suffering from liver complications and underwent a liver transplant after seeking medical care in Bengaluru.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has announced changes to the National Film Awards 2023 jury board. The board, initially reformed on September 15, has undergone modifications with new members appointed in place of some earlier listed names. 

Film on Syed Waliullah’s 'Chander Amabasya' to release this year

Directed by Zahidur Rahim Anjan, the film received government funding in the 2020-21 fiscal year. This “Meghmallar” and “Shondhya” famed filmmaker Anjan, who also handled the screenplay and story adaptation of the film, faced numerous hurdles in bringing the film to the screen.
