Saima Wazed Putul, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) regional director for the South East Asia Regional Office (SEARO), has been sent on indefinite leave from Friday, according to Health Policy Watch.

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her daughter, Saima Wazed (Putul), have been sued for irregularities in the allocation of plots under the Purbachal New Town project.
