The National Sports Council (NSC) has relieved former shooter GM Haider of his duties as joint secretary of the Bangladesh Shooting Sports Federation following allegations of sexual harassment.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul’s three-member Advisory Committee has attracted a lot of criticism as the nomination of its members has not been in line with the board’s constitution.

He has also clarified that the removal of Faruque Ahmed was driven by performance issues, not allegations of corruption.

A probe has found massive irregularities in the rental of shops at nine markets of the National Sports Council (NSC), including a case where the government receives as little as Tk 22,000 in monthly rent while as much as Tk 3 lakh is being collected from the tenant.
