The government has decided that buses and trucks will be scrapped after 20 and 25 years of being on the road.
The National Road Safety Council (NRSC) approved the National Road Safety Strategic Action Plan (2021-24) to reduce road crashes by 25 percent within 2024 and by 50 percent within 2030.
Seized vehicles that are used for different crimes or have no valid documents mostly end up in auctions as scrap.
