SSC examinee killed in Rangpur
A 16-year-old Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinee was killed by unknown assailants last night in Rangpur's Badarganj municipality.
Meanwhile, police recovered the body from the corridor of his school this morning and sent it to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for autopsy, reports our correspondent quoting Arif Ali, inspector of Badarganj police station.
The deceased, Shaymal Chandra Mahanta Nayan, son of Narayan Chandra Mahanta, hailing from Badarganj upazila of the district, was a student of Collegiate High School of the upazila, police said.
Quoting family members, police said the victim's neighbour Julfikar called Nayan from his house last night around 9pm and afterwards did not find any trace of Nayan the rest of the night.
Locals found the blood-stained body at the corridor of his school this morning and conveyed the matter to family members, said police official Arif. On information, police recovered the body.
Inspector Arif said a case is under process in this connection.
