Unchanged England bowl against unchanged Pakistan
England captain Jos Buttler won the toss and opted to field first in the final of the T20 World Cup against Pakistan in Melbourne on Sunday. Both teams have fielded unchanged elevens from their previous games.
With these two sides having comfortably chased down targets in their respective semifinals, both captains wanted to bowl first at the MCG. However, the luck was with the Englishmen as they decided to bowl first.
They will, however, miss the services of pace spearhead Mark Wood and batter Dawid Malan.
"We would've also bowled first but toss is not in our hands, so we will try to put runs on the board and put pressure on them. We have good momentum with us and will try to continue with it," Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said at the toss.
"Huge game, good nerves and there's a lot of good energy around the team. Great energy in the stadium and we are looking forward to a great game," said Buttler.
