Nurul added to T20I squad after Mushfiqur's injury

Bangladesh included wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan in the squad for the T20I series against Afghanistan yesterday after Mushfiqur Rahim suffered a hand injury during a net session.

Will start hitting from the first ball: Mahmudullah

In the just-concluded three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, the 'Silent Killer' Mahmudullah Riyad was silent when it came to performances. He also missed a straightforward catch at fine leg to drop Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who went on to make an unbeaten ton in the third ODI as Bangladesh slumped to a seven-wicket loss.

'Munim has a good chance tomorrow'

Bangladesh called up opener Munim Shahriar for the T20I series against Afghanistan, following his performances in the recently-concluded BPL. The batter showed that his intent was to remain aggressive with the bat during practice today. T20I skipper Mahmudullah Riyad later came to the press conference and said Munim has a good chance to make his debut tomorrow.

‘We did the hard work but got out when wicket got better’

Bangladesh ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal hinted that batting failure has cost his side their third ODI against Afghanistan in Chattogram today.

Afghanistan thrash sloppy Tigers in third ODI

An 86-run knock from Liton Das did not amount to much as a series of dropped catches saw Rahmanullah Gurbaz smash his third ODI century to help Afghanistan thrash Bangladesh by seven wickets in the third and final ODI at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram today.

Tigers 192 all out

Despite a brilliant 86-run knock from opener Liton Das and being in a commanding position – on 100 for one within 21 overs – hosts Bangladesh could post no more than 192 after being all out in 46.5 overs against Afghanistan in Chattogram's Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium today.

Ebadot the batter means business in training

Fast bowler Ebadot Hossain made it to Bangladesh ODI squad for the first time on the back of a magnificent match-winning performance in the historic Mount Maunganui Test against New Zealand earlier this year.

Is ‘Afif possibly best fielder in world’?

In social media yesterday, Bangladesh batting coach Jamie Siddons complimented the key performers of the Tigers in the second one-dayer against Afghanistan, played on Friday in Chattogram.

Tamim’s work with ‘straightening front foot’ can bring more success

Batting coach Jamie Siddons had been watching ODI captain Tamim Iqbal closely for the last few days during Bangladesh practice. In Bangladesh’s optional practice on Thursday, he kept a close eye on Tamim’s work at the nets and had discussed a few things he noted. Following today’s practice session at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium, Jamie was available to talk to the media and talked about some of the things he saw from Tamim.

‘Can you imagine that PM called me five times during game?’

Courtesy of a magnificent century from Liton Das, who stitched a brilliant 202-run partnership with Mushfiqur Rahim, Bangladesh registered a convincing 88-run win over Afghanistan in the second one-dayer and clinched the three-match ODI series with a game in hand in Chattogram today.
