Bangladesh T20I captain Litton Das suffered a back strain that cut his batting session short during practice at the ICC Academy in Dubai on Monday ahead of the Tigers' clash against India.

After an extended fielding session, Litton went in to bat at the nets but felt discomfort on his left side while attempting a cut shot. The 30-year-old immediately stopped batting, sat down, and later lay on the ground next to the nets.

Team physio Bayezidul Islam and Bangladesh Cricket Board's chief physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury attended to him on the spot

"I don't think it's anything serious. We'll see," Debashish told The Daily Star on Monday.

Bangladesh will take on India at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in their second Asia Cup Super Four match on Wednesday. The Tigers won the first match of the second round against Sri Lanka by four wickets last Saturday.
