PM mesmerised by Mustafizur
Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman’s exploits in the ongoing Indian Premier League not only made Tigers fans proud but also grabbed the attention of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, herself an ardent sports lover.
“The prime minister is mesmerised by the magical performance of Mustafizur Rahman in the IPL,” said Planning Minister and former Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president AHM Mustafa Kamal after coming out of the Ecnec meeting at the secretariat today. Kamal also said that the prime minister had been talking about the 20-year-old left arm pacer prior to the meeting. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina is also a keen follower of Bangladesh cricket and its cricketers. She hardly misses an opportunity to watch the Tigers in action in their home ground in Mirpur.

After bowling beautifully and befuddling batsmen in his first four Indian Premier League matches, Mustafizur came out with a player-of-the-match performance against Punjab, taking two wickets and conceding only nine runs from four overs of sustained, near-mystical bowling.
The left-arm pacer has played five games in IPL 2016 and has seven wickets to his name.
