Rakib Hossain scored an 84th-minute equaliser as Bangladesh drew 1-1 against Hong Kong in their fourth match of the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers on Tuesday.

The Bangladesh No 10 flicked home Fahamedul Islam's header following a cross from Faisal Ahmed Fahim as Javier Cabrera's charges eked out one point against the home side, who were reduced to 10 men in the 75th minute.

Earlier, Matt Orr had given Hong Kong, who had beaten Bangladesh 4-3 in the reverse fixture in Dhaka last Thursday, a 36th-minute lead from the spot after defender Tariq Kazi had executed an obnoxious foul inside the box.

The draw keeps Bangladesh's hopes of qualification mathematically on despite them sitting bottom of the table with two points from four matches. Hong Kong lead the table with eight points. The other match in the group today between India and Singapore has just kicked off.
