‘I’ve never felt better’: Haaland sends warning ahead of Liverpool clash

Erling Haaland has sent a warning to Premier League rivals, declaring he is in the best shape of his career as Manchester City prepare to face Liverpool this weekend.

"I've never felt better than I do now," the Norwegian striker said after extending his red-hot scoring streak. "It's about preparation, getting ready for the games… you can be physically ready but you need to be mentally ready as well."

Haaland has been in unstoppable form this season, netting nine goals in seven league appearances and 18 across all competitions for club and country.

The 24-year-old credited fatherhood for helping him reach a new level of focus. "With a kid, I think it makes me even better because I disconnect more than ever -- I don't think about football at all," he said.

Despite his dominance in front of goal, Pep Guardiola reminded that the team cannot rely solely on the prolific forward. "He has been so important this season for us. We need more goals from the other ones too," the City manager noted.

Looking ahead to the Liverpool fixture, Haaland kept his tone focused and determined. "We need to be ready because it's not going to be an easy game," he said.
