Argentina to play both friendlies in Miami after venue change

Argentina's upcoming international friendlies against Venezuela and Puerto Rico will now both be played in Miami after a late venue change for the second fixture.
The national team trained on Tuesday in Miami ahead of the FIFA international window, where coach Lionel Scaloni plans to test several emerging players, including Franco Mastantuono and Nicolás Paz, as part of Argentina's next generation.
Initially, the second friendly against Puerto Rico was scheduled to take place in Chicago. However, due to ongoing social protests in the Illinois city, the match has been moved to Chase Stadium — home of Inter Miami and, by extension, Lionel Messi.
The decision not only ensures a smoother logistical plan for the squad but also increases the likelihood of Messi featuring in front of his home fans. However, the Argentine captain is still expected to see limited playing time across the two matches.
Argentina will face Venezuela first on Friday at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, followed by the Puerto Rico fixture on Monday at Chase Stadium. Official confirmation and ticket details are expected to be announced soon.
