19,000 tickets snapped up in 24 minutes for Bangladesh–Hong Kong clash

A total of 19,000 tickets -- 18,000 gallery tickets and 1000 clubhouse tickets -- for Bangladesh's forthcoming home tie against Hong Kong in the Asian Cup Qualifiers were sold out within 24 minutes of it being released online today, confirmed Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

The online sale began at 2:00pm and in less than half an hour, all the gallery and clubhouse tickets were sold.

"It took only 24 minutes to sell out all gallery and clubhouse tickets as the entire selling process has been very smooth," said BFF competition committee member Tajwar Awal at the BFF House at 3:30pm.

He, however, did not mention how the remaining tickets will be sold.

BFF was thinking of selling some match tickets from booths. But today, Tajwar said that the federation has decided against it due to security concerns.

Bangladesh will host Hong Kong on October 9 at the 22400-capacity National Stadium.
