Rishad stars as Lahore pick up consecutive wins

Bangladesh leg-spinner Rishad Hossain is enjoying his time in Pakistan.
The 22-year-old starred with the ball at the National Stadium on Tuesday to help Lahore Qalandars to a commanding 65-run win over Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Rishad, who claimed three wickets for 31 runs in Lahore's previous win against Quetta Gladiators on Sunday, bettered his figures this time. He returned figures of three for 26 from his four overs – the best for Lahore on the night – to bundle out Karachi for 136 in 19.1 overs.
Rishad played a key role in dismantling Karachi's middle and lower-middle order, dismissing Shan Masood (18 off 14), Irfan Khan (6 off 7), and Abbas Afridi (1 off 3). He made an immediate impact in his first over, the eighth of the innings, removing both Masood and Irfan while conceding just a single run. His second over was equally effective, yielding the wicket of Afridi and going for just three runs.
Despite an expensive spell later on – being taken for 11 and 12 runs, respectively, in the next two overs – Rishad's earlier breakthroughs had already set the tone.
With six wickets in his first two matches, Rishad now sits joint-top the PSL wicket-takers' charts alongside leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed.
Earlier, blistering half-centuries from Fakhar Zaman and Daryl Mitchell powered Lahore to 201 for 6. Fakhar, the tournament's leading run-scorer, smashed five sixes and six fours in a 47-ball 76, while Mitchell struck nine boundaries and two sixes in his 41-ball 75.
