No Shakib in Tigers' training today

Bangladesh Test side are undergoing their first practice session for the upcoming one-off Test against Ireland on April 4 but skipper Shakib Al Hasan was absent from the session.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officials informed that Shakib is enjoying a rest day ahead of the Test. The rest of the 14-member squad is training at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium today. 

The Tigers began the day with a team meeting with head coach Chandika Hathurusingha in the dressing room. Following the meeting, Liton Das practiced for duties behind the stumps with Jamie Siddons. The others went about fielding drills before they headed for indoor net sessions.
