French opener Gustav McKeon became the youngest batsman to score a century in T20 Internationals. He did this feat at the age of 18 years and 280 days.

Gustav scored 109 runs in just 61 balls in the qualifier match of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup against Switzerland.

Gustav hit five fours and 9 sixes in his innings. This was his second international match. Earlier, he scored a 54-ball 76 in his debut T20I against the Czech Republic.

With this, Gustav broke the two-year-old record of Afghanistan batsman Hazratullah Zazai. Zazai scored a century against Ireland in 2019 in 20 years 337 days. Then he had scored an unbeaten 162 runs in just 62 balls.

Gustav may have created history by scoring a century in his second T20, but the innings could not help his team as Switzerland won the match by one wicket.

France, batting first, scored 157 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Apart from Gustav, no other batsman could play a big innings. Ali Nayyar took 2 wickets for Switzerland.
