Mashrafe joins 200 ODI wicket club
Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza picked up his 200th ODI wicket in the final match of three-match series against South Africa in Chittagong today.
On the last ball of the 30th over, David Miller attempted a square cut, but ended up in the hands of Sabbir Rahman at backward point to become Mashrafe's 200th prey.
The "Narail Express" became the 37th bowler in ODI history to take 200 wickets and needed 157 matches to reach the milestone.
Till date, Mashrafe's best bowling figure stands at six wickets for 26 runs against Kenya back in 2006.
The right-arm fast-medium bowler is the first Bangladeshi pacer to enter into the 200-wicket club. Before Mashrafe, spinner Abdur Razzak and all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan have made the rare achievement.
Shakib and Mashrafe reached the milestone on the same match today.
Razzak, who is now out of the team, claimed 207 wickets in 153 matches, Shakib and Mashrafe are playing their 156 and 157th match respectively.
