Afghanistan coming in September for three ODIS
Afghanistan cricket team will be touring Bangladesh in the last week of September for three One Day Internationals against the hosts, it was confirmed today.
A statement by the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) stated that the Afghans will play the three matches against Bangladesh on September 25, Septmebr 27 and September 30 – all the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Nasimullah Danish, chairman of ACB said: “This will be the first series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. We are looking forward for an entertaining cricket to the cricket lovers of Bangladesh.”
A highly-placed source inside the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) also confirmed the news about the Afghan team’s arrival, however, confirmed that the matches will take place on September 25, September 28 and October 1.
The Afghan team’s tour will be followed closely by the tour of England team, who are set to arrive on September 30 to play two Tests and three one-day Internationals in Chittagong and Dhaka.
