Bangladesh ace paceman Mustafizur Rahman is used to bamboozling batsmen with his slower cutters. The cross-seam delivery often catches opponents by surprise but this time Fizz has a different kind of surprise in store -- not for his opponents but mostly his fans and the fans of Bangladesh cricket in general -- as he is set to tie the knot.

"The decision was taken quite quickly", Fizz's elder brother Mahfuzur Rahman told The Daily Star. The schedule of the imminent wedding was very tight and might have even caught the cricketer by surprise. "The date was finalized 2-3 days ago. We are doing the program in a small scale [for now]. Just the Akht," he said.

The bride to be is a maternal cousin of Mustafizur who is simply known as Shimu within their close relatives. She is a first year student at Dhaka University. The decision to bring these two together was also taken by the family members. The program will take place in Mustafizur's home town Satkhira.

Meanwhile spinner Mehedi Hasan Miraz will also be having his own Akht today. The Tigers generally do not have much time for family get-togethers over a considerable amount of time due to tours or home series obligations. With a short break ahead of the away series in Ireland, it seems most of the younger members in the Tigers squad took the opportunity to get into wedlock with Sabbir Hossain recently tying the knot after returning from New Zealand ODIs.
