Kurt Cobain wanted to live in Scottish castle
Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain planned to live in a Scottish castle before he killed himself.
The Seattle rocker had fallen in love with Glasgow's music scene, reports mirror.co.uk.
Cobain, who succumbed to his long battle against depression and drug addiction, wanted to buy a Scottish castle and settle down months before he shot himself dead, reports the Daily Record.
Seattle-based Charles Peterson, who was one of the first photographers to work with Nirvana, said: "I remember late one evening I was working with Kurt for a magazine in Manhattan."
"He was just sitting, talking about life with me, then out of the blue he said, I want to buy a castle in Scotland. Kurt really did want to make his home there."
It was maybe a pipe-dream but he wanted to make it a reality. He was serious when he said it. He was enamoured with Scotland and the music scene in Glasgow especially.
Cobain shot himself in his home in 1994.
