The Supreme Court today asked BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir to surrender before a lower court by tomorrow in three arson and vandalism cases.
The Appellate Division passed the order after rejecting three petitions filed by Fakhrul, seeking extension of its order that granted him bail in the cases filed with Paltan and Motijheel police in last and current years.
On October 6, the Supreme Court extended till today (November 2) its bail order for Fakhrul on heath ground in the cases.
The apex court on July 13 had granted bail to the BNP leader for six weeks in the cases. On August 31, it extended the orders for six weeks more.
