Khaleda blames Hasina for Fahim’s death
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia today blamed Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the death of militant suspect Golam Faizullah Fahim in the name of “crossfire”.
“Fahim was killed in a state-managed drama. Police said Fahim was killed in crossfire, but actually it was not crossfire. He was just killed,” Khaleda said at an iftar party at a hotel in Dhaka.
On June 17, Fahim, who was on a 10-day remand in connection with the attack on Madaripur college teacher Ripon Chakraborty, was killed in a reported gunfight between his associates and police in Madaripur Sadar.
Pointing to countrywide criminal activities, the BNP-led 20-party alliance chief said it was “Chhatra League, Juba League and a section of police” who were behind these criminal activities.
Bangladesh Labour Party, a component of the BNP-led 20-party alliance, organised the programme.
