Door for talks should be kept open: Ashraf
Awami League general secretary Syed Ashraful Islam has said the door for dialogue is needed to be kept open for the sake of politics.
“It will be impossible to do politics keeping all doors closed,” Ashraf also Public Administration Minister, told reporter after attending a function at Tongi today, reports the Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
“We expect that good sense would prevail upon Khaleda Zia and she would come back to the path of constructive politics. And then, atmosphere for dialogue will be created,” Ashraf said.
No dialogue will be fruitful if there is absence of congenial atmosphere, he said adding the atmosphere will be ensured if BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia refrains from the politics of vandalism.
“We want peaceful atmosphere in Bangladesh and election in a democratic manner,” he added.
An acceptable national election will be held in the country in future in a free and peaceful manner, he hoped.
