Force Myanmar to stop atrocities on Rohingyas, BNP to world leaders
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today called upon the world leaders to be vocal and united in a bid to force Myanmar to stop the deliberate atrocities carried out on Rohingya people.
“We want instant solution of Rohingya crisis. The world leaders should be vocal and united forcing Myanmar to stop the killing spree of Rohingya people,” Fakhrul said while addressing a programme at the National Press Club this afternoon.
He urged the world leaders to mount a pressure on Myanmar government so that it is compelled to take back the Rohingya refugees intruded into Bangladesh in face of repression and oppression.
Fakhrul also criticised Bangladesh government for playing an opportunist role over the Rohingya issue and said the Awami League-led government has failed to deal with the issue diplomatically.
“We don’t want to know whether Rohingya are Muslims, rather we know they are human being and they have rights to live peacefully and independently. Our government should take urgent step sending them back to their normal lives in their motherland,” he added.
