Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today demanded forming of an election-time government with the representatives of those political parties who are in the current parliament.

“We (polls-time cabinet members) will carry out only general work", Ershad said while giving an outline in this regard.

“We will not interfere in the other works. The Election Commission will hold the elections,” he said at a party’s grand rally held at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka.

There is no peace and security in the country and it is towards the destruction, the JP chief claimed adding that if the next general election is held in a fair manner, his party will go to power and protect the nation from destruction.

The government recently celebrated the country’s achievement of the eligibility to graduate to “developing country” from Least Developed Country (LDC) status, the glazing of the development is only in Dhaka, Ershad claimed.
