West Indies 372/1 (50 Overs)
Zimbabwe 289 (44.3 Overs)

Zimbabwe put up a defiant fight before going down against West Indies in the 15th match of the ICC cricket World Cup 2015 at Manuka Oval of Canberra today.

Coming down to chase a revised score of 362 in 48 overs because of rain, Zimbabwe seemed all determined to pursue before succumbing to a 73-run defeat.

Earlier in the play, West Indies mounted 372 with the loss of two wickets, the highest total yet of the World Cup 2015, riding on the double hundred of Chris Gayle and a ton from Marlon Samuels – in a day of record-breaking cricket all round at Canberra.

It was a highest ever 372-run partnership between the two in an One Day International (match) with Gayle becoming the fifth man ever to have struck a double century.
