Snake gourds packed into baskets for transportation to a weekly market in Birshena village of Jhalakathi district. This farmer sowed seeds worth Tk 3,000 in the March-April period and hopes to attain harvests worth Tk 70,000 till July. Currently, the vegetable is selling for Tk 700-1,200 per maund (around 37 kilogrammes).
