Radisson's royal treat

In Chittagong, what are the options you have when you are willing to have an exclusive, grand iftar which is surely going to be an experience like no other? Where would you go to if you are seeking out a 5-star private dining space with doting service? After all, from time to time, we all crave to be pampered, to enjoy a lavish and extravagant meal — to go a little out of the way.

If that's what you want this Ramadan, 'The Royal Arabian Fatoor' at Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View is your answer. The 'fatoor' (which means iftar) is arranged in a room stylised as an Arabian tent, located on Level-4 of the hotel.

As you enter the room, the Arabian theme will quickly set the mood. Cloths make up the false ceiling of the room in order to imitate the ceiling of actual tents. Seating has been made on the floor, over the carpet, with comfortable cushions and pillows. There are candles, showpieces and a small decorative centre-table. With this interior, the room seems to be detached from the rest of the hotel, and situated out there somewhere in the Arabian deserts.

The room capacity is about 20 people. So, for a small iftar party with your loved ones, this is a unique venue. Away from other dining spaces which you naturally have to share with other guests, this arrangement provides privacy and luxury a cut above. A private butler is going to be at your beck and call at all times.

As for the food, there are three menus to choose from, all of which follow the same categories — dates, Arabian coffee and beverages, appetisers and salads, the main course, desserts, and then finally, mint tea. The long and extensive menus promise extravagant meals. The delicacies include hummus, Arabian chicken salad, soup, Arabian spicy tomato soup, chicken kabsa, grilled lamb chops, chicken shish tauk, baklava, basbousa, sliced fruits, and a lot more.

Set in an Arabian theme and promising a dining service which is unique, this royal treat at Radisson Blu Chittagong Bay View does not leave any stones unturned to pamper its guests.

The three menus are priced at Tk 1,60,000++, Tk 1,40,000++, and Tk 1,30,000++ for 20 people. If you want to pamper yourself and your loved ones, book the room now! Call  01777701123-30.
