A special attraction during the "21st Dhaka International Film Festival" is the "Master Class & Discussion" session. This master class session to empower our independent filmmakers and film students with the opportunity to connect with International Filmmakers and film persons about screenplay writing, pitch the scripts for labs, filmmaking, and film criticism as well as film studies abroad. By attending this session, they will be able to progress by overcoming all of the obligations that they will face in the future when making their films. The event is open to all (First come, first serve basis).

Tokon's homecoming has been twenty years in the making. As 2023 begins, this New York painter returns home to share his innermost feelings and thoughts, captured in a unique style and amazing compositions with oil. His broad-brush technique on huge canvases evokes in us pure emotions that easily overwhelm any distractions that our intellect might conjure up. Only the most sincere and direct approach to storytelling through painting can accomplish such a profound level of engagement. Centennial Tribute to Maestro Ali Akbar Khansahib

Ali Akbar Khansahib, son of Baba Allauddin Khan was an eastern classical musician and instrumentalist of the Maihar Gharana, famous for his virtuous Sarode playing. His contribution was instrumental in spreading and popularizing Hindustani classical music globally and especially to the West as a performer and teacher. As they gather in celebration and listen to live classical music performances by some of the phenomenal instrumentalist as Pandit Arup Chattopadhayay, Shiraz Ali Khan, Nishaant Singh and Mainak Biswas.

Performances: 7:30PM-8:30PM: Pakhawaj and Tabla Jugalbandi by Nishaant Singh and Mainak Biswas. 9PM-10PM: Sarode Recital by Shiraz Ali Khan, Pundit Arup Chattopadhyay and Nishaant Singh.
