Noakhali nursing institute hit by food poisoning
Noakhali Nursing Institute was hit by food poisoning with 32 students falling victim to it so far.
While students blame the food of residential dining to be the cause, staffs say the mass attack has been caused by food brought from outside, reports Bangla daily Prothom Alo.
Twenty seven of the affected students have been admitted to Noakhali general hospital around 10:00am, said Syed Mohiuddin Azim, residential medical officer said.
“The rest of them have been given primary treatment,” he said.
All of them were first-year students.
In face of allegations against the institution’s dining, caretaker of the institution, Baby Sultana, claimed that food brought from outside caused the diarrhea outbreak.
“Only first-year students were affected. If the food was bad, all the students would have been sick,” she said.
