'Heavy' to 'very heavy' rainfall likely in Dhaka, 5 other divisions

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Sylhet, and Chattogram divisions over 72 hours (starting from 9am today).

"Due to active Monsoon, heavy (44-88mm/24hrs) to very heavy (88mm/24hrs) rainfall is likely to occur at places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions," said a Met office bulletin.

Due to very heavy rainfall, landslides may occur in places over the hilly areas of the Chattogram division.

Besides, temporary waterlogging may occur at places in Dhaka and Chattogram metropolitan areas, it said.
