Another earthquake jolts Dhaka, Narsingdi

Another earthquake jolted Dhaka, Narsingdi and nearby areas this afternoon, just days after three consecutive quakes.

Rubyet Kabir, acting officer at the Earthquake Monitoring Centre of Bangladesh Meteorological Department, said, the 3.6 magnitude tremor happened at 4:15pm.

The epicentre was in Ghorashal of Narshingdi, 28 km northeast from BMD Seismic Centre in Dhaka's Agargaon, he said.

With this, four earthquakes were felt in Narsingdi.

Earlier on November 22, a light quake measuring 4.3 magnitude on the Richter scale was felt seven and a half hours after a tremor was recorded in Palash upazila of Narsingdi the same morning.

On November 21, 10 people were killed in a strong earthquake that shook several parts of the country, including Dhaka.
