'Utshob' sweeps Cinematic Excellence Award
One of the most popular films of this year, "Utshob", clinched the Cinematic Excellence Award in the special category.
Mahfuz Anam, editor of The Daily Star, and Zahida Ispahani, director of MM Ispahani Limited and Ispahani Tea Limited, handed over the award at the Blenders' Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2024 at the Bangladesh China Friendship Convention Center in Dhaka this evening.

The main crew and cast of the film, accompanied by its protagonist Zahid Hasan and director Tanim Noor, received the award.
Tanim Noor said, "I don't know if we deserve this. Thank you to The Daily Star and Blenders' Choice... Cinema cannot be made by one person; it takes an entire team. We thank the audience for enjoying our film."
At the awards ceremony, he hinted at his next film—a story by Humayun Ahmed, scheduled to be released in the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr next year.
