Acclaimed actor Mosharraf Karim won Best Actor (Male) in the Popular category for his performance in "Adhunik Bangla Hotel" at the "Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2024," being held at the Bangladesh China Friendship Conference Center (BCFCC).

His nuanced portrayal stood out in a show that has captivated viewers with its inventive style, even while drawing mixed reactions for its uneven storyline.

The series also earned critical acclaim, with Kazi Asad winning Best Screenplay (Critics) and Jahid Nirob taking Best Background Score (Music/Song). Together, the awards marked "Adhunik Bangla Hotel" as one of the evening's most decorated productions.

Built around a peculiar obsession with food, the series uses Bangladeshi cuisine as both backdrop and metaphor. Each episode was titled after a local dish—"Boal Macher Jhol" (boal fish curry), "Khashir Paya" (goat trotters), and "Hasher Salun" (duck curry)—and premiered weekly on Thursdays, from its Halloween debut until November 14, last year.

Despite imperfections, "Adhunik Bangla Hotel" has been praised for its talented cast and creative ambition, establishing itself as one of the most talked-about OTT projects of the year.
